The power of PR
In the New Media Age, the Public Relations (PR) industry has not only emerged to protect and grow businesses but continues to become a thriving little world of its own.
Playing on the age-old concept of communication and persuasion, PR has stemmed into an industry that sees client satisfaction at the forefront of everything we do. It relies on a system of networking that continues to grow as we gain more and more access to analytics and data-driven results.
It is a rewarding process that, through the building of trust and credibility between a business and its audience, allows communication to drive PR through the media and the wider public.
BPR is fortunate to work with a diverse range of clients within SA and across Australia to grow and protect brands. Our successful networking strategy has allowed us to gain clients, build our list of media contacts and, of course, generate public awareness of existing and up-and-coming brands.
Below are some of our case studies that demonstrate the power and importance of PR.
Argon
Argon is a results-driven marketing, branding, and website-developing company in Adelaide that reached out to BPR to help them launch their rebrand and celebrate their 10 years in business. Work we did included the development of a strategic launch event and PR campaign and social media campagin.
Between the week leading up to their launch, the event itself, and throughout article publications announcing their rebrand, the results were oustanding. There was a 120% increase in website traffic, 110% increase in website engagement, 200% increase in new business opportunities and 350% increase in social media, all during the rebrand launch period.
Argon founder, Jason Lehman, said “the results were awe inspiring and really opened our eyes to the power of publicity. Other marketing efforts would kill to have results like this, so bang for buck we’re absolutely thrilled at the volume of new opportunities BPR have generated for us.”
KickStart for Kids
KickStart for Kids (KSFK) was founded by Ian Steel in 2009 to tackle the issue of Australian children living in ‘food insecure’ households.
KSFK has seen Ian go from feeding children from the back of his ute, to supporting over 360 SA schools to which he provides 60,000 breakfasts and 10,000 lunches per week with the support of over 1,000 volunteers.
BPR Director, Belinda Bocson, has been a KSFK board member since 2020, also taking them on as a PR client that same year.
KSFK has had exceptional growth since working with BPR, collaborating with media outlets such as Mix 102.3, SAFM, Triple M, The Advertiser and several news channels, among many other reputable brands and businesses.
In 2021, BPR created and launched the KickStart for Kids Against Period Poverty Campaign. Through a series of events, media pitching and more, BPR helped 150 South Australian schools receive sanitary products from KSFK. BPR is now continuing to ensure the number of schools receiving support is growing, along with managing the demand for product donations and funding.
McLaren Vale Vintage & Classic
In 2021, McLaren Vale Vintage & Classic had over 500 entrants showcasing their vintage and classic vehicles to almost 20,000 spectators. The family-friendly event has been a great display of motoring history to the streets of the region, along with vintage fashion, local wines, gourmet food, and live entertainment for several years.
With COVID restrictions cancelling the car show in 2022, and having worked on the festival for over 15 years, the Chairman and festival founder wanted to step down, putting the festival and its future in jeopardy.
Using the power of PR, BPR wrote and strategically pitched a media release calling on the community to keep this much-loved McLaren Vale festival alive.
The overwhelming media and community support that was received secured the future of the festival, as it is now set to return for its 17th year in 2023.
