Established in 2006, the first CheeseFest attracted 800 people and has since gone on to grow to a capacity of 20,000 visitors. In 2017 Kris LLoyd introduced South Australia to CheeseFest&FERMENT with great success, and in 2018 and 2019 the two festivals were combined into one. In 2020 CheeseFest pivoted due to Covid 19 and CheeseFest: Gather and Graze was introduced to hold a smaller more intimate version of the much-loved festival. In 2021, CheeseFest, Australia’s biggest cheese festival, returned to its original location at Rymill Park/Murlawirrapurka with huge success.
What we did
We created a PR Strategy working with traditional, social and online media to raise awareness about the weekend event. We also arranged and managed a VIP list of guests that attended over the weekend.
In 2021 we achieved over $150,000 of media and PR value with weather crosses, print articles, online and social media postings.
