Adelaide Italian Festival 2021-23
Background
BPR was engaged to work on the Adelaide Italian Festival, formerly known as Carenvale, to support its mission of becoming the biggest cultural festival in the state. The festival has a means of inspiring young people to embrace their Italian heritage and the community to experience Italian culture. In recent years, the Adelaide Italian Festival has grown to feature a wide variety of events including cooking classes, workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions and street parties, among many others.
What we did
BPR created a strategic PR plan that targeted South Australian print, online, radio and TV media to create buzz and increase awareness of the 10-day festival. BPR also coordinated and organised the festivals Signature Events, website, graphic elements and social media presence. Finally, we engaged a strategic list of ambassadors, influencers and media personalities to create further exposure and build the Adelaide Italian Festival brand.

Our Result
Once engaged to work on the Adelaide Italian Festival, BPR achieved an earned media value of over $710k with over 100 pieces of media coverage, including online media articles, print articles, TV and radio. In our time working on the Adelaide Italian Festival, its program went from featuring 40 events to an incredible 75 events across South Australia. Additionally, BPR significantly improved the festival’s overall social media engagement, with a 122% increase in Instagram followers, and 81% increase in Facebook followers.
